Meet Dr. John D. Hennette, D.D.S.

Dr. Hennette, a 1982 graduate of Indiana University School of Dentistry, completed his undergraduate work at DePauw University. Upon completion of his dental school training, Dr. Hennette was accepted into the two-year pediatric training program at James Whitcomb Riley Hospital for Children to specialize in dentistry for infants, children, adolescents and special needs. Dr. Hennette earned his certification in 1984 as a pediatric specialist and was awarded the 1984-85 United Cerebral Palsy Foundation Fellowship at Riley Hospital to further his education and training expertise in treating children with cerebral palsy. Dr. Hennette has been in private practice since 1985. He has taught as an Associate Professor at Riley Children’s Hospital. Dr. Hennette is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Society of Dentistry for Children, American Orthodontic Society, Indiana Dental Association, Indiana Society of Pediatric Dentistry, where he has served as past Vice President and President, and the West Indiana Dental Society. He has held the position of the Indiana representative as the Public Policy Advocate to the national American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry for children’s dental health. Dr. Hennette is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and currently holds hospital privileges at Putnam County Hospital.

He and his wife Cindy have resided in Greencastle since 1988. They have 2 grown children, Kelsey & J.T. and twin grandchildren.
